Roughley Manor is just minutes away from the famous 800,000 acre, Joshua Tree National Park. This desert park encompasses two ecosystems, the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Desert, resulting in a diverse range of mammals, plants, reptiles and over 240 species of birds. You can enjoy desert flowers in spring; hiking; exploring remnants of the gold mining era; rock climb among granite monoliths and twisted rock formations; and tour the Desert Queen Ranch (an early 1900 ranch).
